Return to Forever - Live in Hamburg, Germany, September 15, 1972 [FM][REMASTER][2CD][FLAC]

FM Broadcast

Lineage: FM -> cassette (?) -> SHN -> Boneroller (many thanks!) -> Sound Forge -> FLAC

Remastered 7/2004 by TheTooleMan

Remaster notes: the copy of the recording I received ran fast - almost a semitone above the original pitch. Man, those guys were playing their fingers off! It also had hum, FM static and tape hiss, which I reduced as much as possible, and also lowered the muddy bass. At about 7:05 in CD 2, track 4, La Fiesta, the recording switches to mono - probably a patch from a different source. I matched the quality of the rest of the recording to make this transition as smooth as possible. Fortunately, the stereo recording resumes with track 5, Spain. Considering the rarity of material by Return to Forever from this period, the age of the tape, and the overall high quality of the sound, this will provide many of hours of good listening.

I picked this up recently and can say it is one rare and great recording of the original RTF.

There are only a few live recordings of the original band, all are without Flora. This is the best and longest show.

Many thanks to the good Doctor for offering this to your readers, and thanks for all your hard work!
