The New Tony Williams Lifetime (Feat. Allan Holdsworth) - Live at the Village Gate, NYC, NY, USA, 9/22/76 [FM][FLAC]
You're in for something really special here. A young Tony Williams together with a young Allan Holdsworth is a real good medicine to treat your Bad Musical Taste Dis-ease !!
This is an FM broadcast with a decent bit of generations on it. I cleaned this up a lot in Soundforge (Believe It!, the tape was not in good shape) and I think the result is quite listenable. I did in fact give a copy of this to Allan Holdsworth a couple of years ago and I heard that he liked it. But I never have been able to get my hands on a really clean copy. Hope you appreciate this more for what it is than how it sounds, anyway. Nothing else needs to be said. Enjoy !!!

It's funny that you posted this Dr.
I remember this gig because a short time later a friend of mine replaced Allan Holdsworth on guitar.
I'm just listening to it and I'm stuned - pure fire! Longer and hotter jams than on "Believe It" and fender piano is much more louder.
Thanks a lot for this up!
Track 6 is Red Alert, not Snake Oil. I love the days when Holdsworth played with pick noise - on fire is right!
Could you re-up the files? Thank you.
