Dave's notes:

I'm pleased with this recording, given this was a $150 Lavalier mic, very quiet audience, excellent PA mix. I leave the grade up to you. The Arkaba was a nice venue, a hexagonal bar with a small stage and great acoustics, it now features Karaoke and cover bands, however up until the turn of the last century, it hosted the likes of Bo Diddley, Zawinul Syndicate and Mike Stern. This was the last jazz show there to my knowledge, the gigs moved to the Governor Hindmarsh and there were fewer of them. Bill says during this show that he would be back, he's not shown up to date.

The set list isn't 100% accurate. I think there's more of the Soul Insider album in there but it's well hidden at times.  If you are familiar with the Soul Insider album, the live Soul Insiders is much more adventurous and explosive, with quite a lot of improvisation and changes in tempo from the recordings. Have a listen, it's cool but it's also exciting and takes some unexpected leaps into improvisation.
