John McLaughlin & Billy Cobham - Live 2010

According to JML's website:

"...I got a phone call from Claude asking if I could be jamming that evening with Billy Cobham... The opening act...couldn’t make their flight from Canada, and Claude needed a ‘replacement’. I hadn’t seen Billy for 25 years and immediately liked the idea. Claude called Billy, who lives in Bern and he also was happy to play. I didn’t have my guitar, and there was no rehearsal, it was a very spontaneous jam and we had lots of fun!"

Will we finally see a Mahavishnu Reunion ???

Jean-Luc Ponty & Africa Project - Live at Montreux Jazz Festival, Montreux, Switzerland, July 5, 1991 [FM][FLAC]

This is the only FM sourced recording I've heard of this fine group, and the only one listed in etree. (with no setlist). there are at least a few folks out there who heard the Boston 91 1st show and wanted to hear more. All the band members are introduced here in track 6, but I don't dare try to spell any of their names. I believe this is the complete broadcast carried by this source (either Swiss or possibly German FM radio), and all the songs included here are uninterrupted. Music of Senegal, Nigeria and Cameroon are among the Western African nations music represented on this tour and in this show. Enjoy !!!! ~glasnostrd19

Very fine concert - sometimes it sounds much better than studio album.

Anyway - Ponty is for me the greatest violinist and I like almost everything what he creates - afrobeat and afropop included.
